“If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you’ll end up doing nothing for nobody.” ~ Malcom Bane
Christmas came in early this year when more than 300 Santas spread across cities to distribute some holiday cheer and became City Santas. In an era when slacktivists and armchair activists rule the roost, these were the ones who stepped out of their comfort zones and made an effort to appreciate those who are overworked for our repose. Not as a gesture to show off what they were up to but to encourage others in taking up the cause, they were requested to share pictures while they gave away the gifts to their Invisible Superheroes.
Amidst festivities and busy schedules, we saw the number of Santas increasing from 3 to 300 within a span of 2 days. The happiness was palpable and the satisfaction of seeing that smile on a face that strives to see you content day in and day out can’t be expressed in words.
There could not have been a better ending to 2016. Here’s wishing everybody a Happy New Year. Keep spreading kindness, it never goes unnoticed.
